Meet the Founder Dr. Kera Brake

DGB is proudly led by Dr. Kera Brake, a dedicated Dissertation Coach and Doctor of Organizational Leadership.

With a commitment to equity and excellence, Dr. Brake guides DGB’s vision of creating impactful, culturally relevant learning opportunities. Her expertise spans school transformation, youth development, and providing the clear academic strategy required for doctoral success.

DGB offers two distinct, high-impact signature leadership and mentoring experiences for young people, alongside specialized coaching for doctoral scholars:

KINGS RISING (Young Men's Leadership)

A dynamic leadership coaching and mentoring program designed to inspire, develop, and elevate young men. Guided by male leaders who reflect the values of respect, resilience, and responsibility, the program focuses on Leadership Development, Mentorship Circles, and Real-World Readiness.

EmpowerHER (Young Women's Leadership)

A transformative leadership development and mentoring program built on the foundation of confidence, character, and connection. EmpowerHER nurtures self-worth, leadership identity, and a sense of purpose in girls from diverse backgrounds through Empowerment Coaching, Sisterhood circles, and College Career & Life Readiness.

Dissertation Coaching by DGB

We provide personalized dissertation coaching to support PhD, DBA, and EdD students through every stage of the process—from the early proposal phase to final revisions.
